Bush & Beach Safari Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive - Arusha
Fly into the Kilimanjaro Airport where you are met by our guides who will transfer you to the Mt Meru Hotel. After a small briefing on your expedition, you can visit the shops around Arusha or relax at your luxury hotel preparing for the journey to come.
Day 2 - Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Wake up fresh in the morning for a balanced breakfast, something you will need on the trip to come. Meet your guide who will whisk you off to Tarangire National Park. Participate in your first game drive of your trip en-route to your accommodations. The Tarangire Sopa Lodge lies hidden among the ancient baobab trees and grass lands of the Tarangire National Park - home to the greatest concentration of elephants in Africa. Many of which can be seen around the lodge, allowing visitors epic close encounters.
Day 3 - Tarangire National Park - Lake Manyara National Park
Start your day with a sunrise cruise through Tarangire, searching for the famous tree climbing lions, snoozing in the morning sun. Head back to your lodge for breakfast, then you will be off to Lake Manyara, where you will find herds of hippo and hundreds of different migratory birds. Finish your evening with a night at the Kirurumu Tented camp. Kirurumu Tented Lodge is set high on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, enjoying a marvellous panoramic view over Lake Manyara.
Day 4 - Lake Manyara National Park - Ngoronogoro Conservation Area
Start your day early and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will descend 600 meters into the world’s largest volcanic caldera, where it’s possible to spot all of the Big Five on the same day. Ngorongoro is home to quite possibly the largest variety of wildlife on the planet, giving you the best chance to see everything on your list. In the late afternoon you’ll ascend up the crater rim to check in at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. Facing the magnificent sunsets to the west, Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge stands over half a kilometre above the crater floor and offers unparalleled views across this enormous caldera.
Day 5 - Ngoronogoro Conservation Area - Serengeti National Park
Travel from Ngorongoro to the Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites on Earth. Half way along this stretch, a Maasai show village may be visited which permits photography and sees how Maasai live in this area. Visit the museum at Olduvai, for an excellent photographic history of the research carried out in the Gorge. Head off to camp at the Serengeti Sopa Lodge located on the edge of Serengeti National Park, home to thousands of wild and rare animals. An oasis of cool relaxation from the equatorial sun.
Day 6 - Serengeti National Park
A day of exploring wildlife around Serengeti National Park, which is the ideal location for marveling at the annual migration of large herds of animals. The Serengeti’s endless plains provide an exceptional landscape for wildlife viewing, it truly is the ultimate safari country. Often spotted in the Serengeti are elephants, hippos, lions, zebras, wildebeests, cheetahs, leopards and more. Retreat back to the Serengeti Sopa lodge and sip a drink while watching the sunset unfold over the horizon.
Day 7 - Serengeti National Park - Zanzibar
Up early consider one more early game drive. After breakfast, you’ll be shuttled to the Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar, a paradise island known for its white sandy beaches and amazing spices. Upon arrival you will check in to Serena Luxury Resort. Located on the shores of the Indian Ocean, Serena is the perfect place to relax on the beach soaking up the sun.
Day 8 - Zanzibar
Today’s activities are completely up to you. Spend your day relaxing on the beach with a tropical cocktail in hand or adventure around Stone Town visiting the various palaces, forts and bazaars. Other activities include swimming with dolphins, whale watching, deep sea fishing and sailing. Wherever your interests lie, Zanzibar has something for you. Complete your day with another night at Serena Luxury Resort.
Day 9 - Zanzibar - Arusha
In the morning you will be treated with a champagne breakfast before your flight back to Arusha. Spend your afternoon carousing the shops in search for handmade relics to bring home, or take a trip to the Sorongoro school. Soronogoro is the same school the Ombeni attended while he was a child. Meeting the children will leave an impression that will last a lifetime. End your day relaxing at the Mt Meru hotel.
Day 10 - Arusha - Departure
Before your departure make sure to have a peek at the jewelry store inside the Mount Meru hotel. Focusing on tanzanite, which can only be found in one place on the entire planet. This beautiful blue gem is perfect for gifts. You will then be shuttled to the Arusha airport for your flight home. Asante
